Dental Caries Experience of the Primary Schoolchildren in Jeonju City(Ⅰ)

Abstract
|
|
|
To study the trend variation of the dental caries of the primary schoolchildren, the author surveyed the dental caries experience of the deciduous teeth from 946 schoolchildren aged 6 to 9, and that of the permanent teeth from 1, 429 aged 6 to 11 who live in Jeonju city. The obtained results were as follows
1. As for the dental caries experience of the deciduous teeth, ; dt rate : 74.74%, dt index : 2.20, ft index : 0. 24, it index : 0.71, dft index : 3. 15.
2. As for the dental caries experience of the permanent teeth ; DMF rate : 33.66%, DT irdex 0.55, MT index : 0.00. FT index : 0.05, IT´ index : 0.04, DMFT index : 0.64.
3. The dental caries experience of the deciduous teeth was higher in boys than in girls and that of the permanent teeth was reversed.
